Once the piano was back in the house and accessorized, it does not look quite as bright, but could still be a a bit warmer. Once the piece is sanded and wiped clean, apply a light coat of primer. For the piano bench, I brushed on the primer, but I did not like the brush strokes so for the piano, I switched to spray primer. So Ryan and our friend dragged the piano outside to our front walkway and away I went.

And if you want to learn aural skills or improve on the aural skills that you have, Perfect Ear is the perfect companion. I really enjoy My Piano the fact that you can easily change the time signature and the beats per minute.

One part of practising so often overlooked is tuning. Tuning is really important, particularly if you are playing with other musicians. However, even if you are just playing alone, a good sense of tuning will help you to have a better overall sound, and musicality.
While the human ear may be the final judge of a piano’s tuning, an ETD doesn’t miss a semi-tone. Stretch refers to the tonal distance between any two notes on the keyboard. Tuning your piano via an ETD, in fact, can measure each note to the 1/000 of a semi tone . While the human ear can hear approximately the 1/10 of 1% in a change of pitch, an ETD can hear 1/100 of 1%.
