A fighter from Russia, nicknamed Maximus, he is 36 years old, a professional record of 361-8-2, trains at the Akhmat club. Maxim may be known to the Russian public for his performances in domestic promotions – M-1 Challenge, Fight Nights Global and WFCA. In 2018, he decided to try his hand overseas and moved to the PFL organization. There, at the 2018 and 2019 tournaments for 1 million dollars, Grishin lost decisions in the quarterfinals twice and was eliminated from the title race. In July 2020, Maxim made his UFC debut, losing by decision to Marcin Tybura. Closed that defeat with an early victory over Gadzhimurad Antigulov.
